Dr. Shimi completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto in 2003, following an undergraduate Physiology degree at the University of Western Ontario with Honors and Distinction. He further completed a year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, with emphasis on Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Shimi's keen interest in implant dentistry led to his attainment of Fellowship status from the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) in 2006, along with Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) for his dedication to continuing education in his profession.

Dr. Shimi enjoys educating his clients about ways to achieve their optimal oral health, as well as providing comprehensive dental care in reaching this goal whether all at once, or one step at a time.
